My 559th marathon was LAGUNA PHUKET INT'L MARATHON (LPIM) in southern Thailand on Jun. 14, 2009.It was my 4th LPIM as an invitational runner with my wife since it had started in 2006.
The course of 2009 LPIM was almost the same as previous years.
I like LPIM because they had both pre and post event parties at Laguna Phuket.
The variety of foods at the parties were gorgious and they gave us wonderful opportunities
to get to know each other. This is what DESTINATION MARATHON should be.
Also the finishers can receive Thail Traditional assage at the recovery area.
I gave "BB ( double B)" EIE (Ecomarathon International Evaluation) rating for the 2009 LPIM
for its high acheivement of social responsibility by providing a sustainable financial support
to local elementary school through "PALM TREE PLANTING SESSION" among participants of LPIM and the local community including school children.
