About Ecomarathon

Ecomarathon is not a race, but it's a way of life
Beyond competition, but with connection
Beyond conquest, but with harmony
Beyond dominion, but with sharing
Beyond possession, but with simplicity
Ecomarathon is not a race, but it has a goal
Everyone has equal opportunity to live with dignity
and to have enough food to eat with peace in mind
and with gratefulness to nature
No visa, no border
One people, one planet
Don't just run it, Ecomarathon it
Time is not essential, but the timing is.

WHAT IS EIE?

Ecomarathon International Evaluations (EIE) is an unique rating system focusing on ecological points of view for the sports events around the globe.

The purpose of EIE is to promote ecologically-friendly, non-competitive and well-organized sports events for non-athletes to make our only home, planet earth, a better place to live for all species for now and for their future generations.

Through the participations in the ecologically-friendly, non-competitive and well-organized sports events in beautiful nature, people can appreciate fresh air and safe water, precious benefits from mother earth. These experiences will bring awareness to people and inspire them to conserve nature and its beauty.

Therefore, the ecological points of concern such as air quality and safety of the water are highly appreciated in EIE. Feeling safe and comfortable during participation in sports events is greatly appreciated in EIE. The cultural exchange sessions with the foreign participants and the locals before, during and after the sports events are also essential in EIE. Because well-organized and relaxed cultural exchange sessions will lead everyone involved to a deeper understanding of each other.

These experiences will encourage people to find solutions through communication instead of conflict or war, which cause devastation and destruction to humanity and the earth's fragile eco-system.
